Intactness can be flight
& intactness is the opposite
of the blues, intactness

& you, Emily, that is more
cure than any ill-spirit that can
ever find me. If we are scathed

it can only be from each other.
If we are together, mudded,
scathed with wet earth

& still laughing? That is holy.
That is the sound of two voices
raised to be blessed by doves.
